COSIcom Design Strategy is a method for creating innovative, sustainable, and user-centered design solutions through a combination of COntext, SImplicity, and COMmunication.
The Three Core Elements of COSIcom:
COntext – Understanding users' needs, behaviors, and the environment in which the product will be used. Analyzing trends, the market, and cultural aspects is key.
SImplicity – Designing with clarity, functionality, and minimalism in focus. This involves reducing unnecessary elements and creating intuitive, efficient solutions.
COMmunication – The product should clearly communicate its purpose, material choices, and sustainability aspects, both visually and through the user experience.
The biggest success within the COSIcom Design Strategy was the Jellyfish Chair, which was sold worldwide and became an iconic product. Its unique design and innovative manufacturing method made it highly sought after and frequently copied.
